Longtime Ketchum local Justin Pisteoff had had it with trying to find a quiet spot to relax at Redfish. Tired of battling for parking and facing endless lines for food and drink, he set out to create something different.

“I've been skiing here in Sun Valley for the last 30 years. Every year I buy a season's pass to gain access to this magnificent mountain, ski the perfectly groomed runs and eat at the wonderful lodges with their breathtaking views. 5Beach Club simply aims to bring a similar level of luxury and convenience to the lake.”

Inspired by the private beach clubs of the South of France, Pisteoff envisioned a place where you could trade the chaos for calm — a guaranteed sanctuary where the only thing you need to worry about is whether you want your cocktail with or without an umbrella.

“I could go to a free beach, usually pebbles not sand, and fight to find a spot to place my towel. Or I could pay to relax on a pristine sandy beach tucked into a cove, lay back on a comfy recliner and receive deck chair cocktail and meal service. The choice was obvious.”
